Your Forma is a brain-implanted information device, a "smart thread" technology that grew out of the medical treatment that saved humanity from a viral encephalitis pandemic in 1992. It has since become part of everyday life, and it records everything its users see, hear and even feel. In this world, major crimes are investigated by specialist detectives called Electronic Investigators, who dive into the recorded memories left behind to find evidence. Echika Hieda is a prodigy who took up the post at an astonishingly young age, and her exceptional talent leaves her isolated: her assistants keep ending up hospitalized trying to keep pace with her. Her new partner is Harold Lucraft, a blond, blue-eyed humanoid android called an Amicus, who is brilliant but cheeky. Together they set out to uncover hidden secrets.
