In Year 300 of the Divine Era, in a world similar to yet subtly different from our own, Yuuna Yuuki is a cheerful 13-year-old second-year student at Sanshu Middle School. Her daily routine of classes, friends and club activities is ordinary except for one thing: she belongs to the Hero Club, a volunteer group that helps anyone in need, whether by assisting other clubs, cleaning beaches or staging puppet shows for kindergarten children. The club is led by its energetic president Fuu Inubouzaki and also includes Fuu's younger sister Itsuki and Yuuna's best friend Mimori Tougou. Their peaceful days change when a strange app on their phones reveals that the club has been chosen by the Taisha. The girls are pulled into an eerie forest-like realm and must transform into magical warriors to fight the Vertex, mysterious monsters sent to destroy their world.
