Rei Oohashi, an ordinary office worker, wakes up one day inside her favorite otome game, Revolution, now living as its heroine, Rae Taylor, at a fantasy girls' academy. In her previous life Rei never cared for the princes and other male love interests the dating sim offered; her favorite character was always Claire Francois, the game's main antagonist, a haughty noblewoman with blonde, drill-shaped ringlets. In the original story, Claire harasses and bullies the heroine, which pushes her toward the male leads. Delighted that Claire is the first person to greet her in this new life, Rei sets out to do what the game never allowed and romance the villainess herself. She is armed with her extensive knowledge of the game and her devotion to Claire.
