In this world, children receive a "class" from the Goddess at the age of ten, and the class and the skills that come with it shape the course of a person's life. Arel is the son of the Sword Princess Fara and the Archmage Leon, two of the most celebrated figures in their fields, so great things are expected of him. At his ceremony, however, he is branded classless and left without any natural skills, drawing disappointment and pity from those around him. Arel refuses to accept that this settles his fate. He believes that effort, training and cunning can take the place of an assigned talent, and he sets out to make a name for himself as an adventurer and a hero of a new kind.
