JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 7: Steel Ball Run

Synopsis

In 1890, the American Old West hosts the Steel Ball Run, an unprecedented horse race stretching thousands of kilometers from San Diego, California, to New York City. Although horses are the traditional choice, entrants may use any means of travel, and points earned at checkpoints decide the winner of a huge cash prize. Johnny Joestar, a young former jockey left paralyzed from the waist down after his arrogance cost him dearly, arrives in San Diego only to watch the start. There he sees Gyro Zeppeli, an enigmatic racer who carries steel balls at his waist instead of a gun, use one in a duel to make his opponent turn his weapon on himself. When Johnny accidentally touches the ball, he briefly stands for the first time in two years. Determined to uncover its secret, he enters the race beside Gyro. The story is the first part of the series' new timeline.
