Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End

Synopsis

After a ten-year quest, the elf mage Frieren and her companions, the hero Himmel, the priest Heiter and the dwarf warrior Eisen, have defeated the Demon King and brought peace to the land. The party disbands and each member settles into a quiet life, but Frieren, an elf whose lifespan far exceeds that of humans, has little sense of how differently time passes for her friends. When she reunites with them fifty years later, she has to watch them age and die one after another. A funeral brings her own near-immortality into focus, and she starts to regret the chances she missed to grow closer to the people she travelled with. Seeking to understand what life means to the humans around her, Frieren sets out on a new journey to carry out the last wishes of her old comrades.
