Hunter x Hunter (2011)

Synopsis

In a world where Hunters undertake dangerous tasks like capturing criminals, exploring uncharted lands, and finding lost treasures, Gon Freecss, a 12-year-old boy, dreams of becoming a Hunter. His motivation stems from his desire to find his father, Ging, who was also a Hunter and abandoned him as a baby. Gon leaves his home on Kujira Isle to take the challenging Hunter Examination, known for its low success rate and high mortality. During the exam, he befriends three other candidates: the doctor-to-be Leorio, the revenge-driven Kurapika, and the rebellious ex-assassin Killua. Together, they navigate the trials and threats of the examination, embarking on an adventure that will test their friendship and resolve.
