In a distant, post-apocalyptic future, the world is overrun by mutated creatures known as Filth Monsters or Pollutant Beasts. Humanity survives by living in large, mobile cities called Regios, which are protected by individuals who harness a special power called Kei and wield weapons known as Dite. Layfon Alseif, a mysteriously skilled fighter, enrolls in the Academy City of Zuellni, hoping to leave his past behind. However, his abilities quickly catch the attention of Nina Antalk, captain of the 17th Military Arts Platoon, who recruits him into her squad. Layfon reluctantly joins, uncertain of the future that awaits him and his new teammates.
