Seventeen-year-old high school student Sagara Yoshiharu is unexpectedly transported from his modern life to Japan's Sengoku period. He quickly discovers that this is an alternate reality where many famous historical warlords, including Oda Nobunaga, are now girls. Yoshiharu meets Oda Nobuna, the female counterpart of Oda Nobunaga, and becomes her retainer, taking the place of Kinoshita Toukichirou (also known as Hideyoshi Toyotomi), who has died in this timeline. Nobuna nicknames him "Monkey" and tasks him with helping her achieve her ambition of unifying Japan.
