In the metropolitan area of the Japanese capital, self-contained pocket dimensions called Phenomenon begin to form, overwriting reality in affected areas. These Phenomenon are born from the strong emotions of their creators and can only be undone if the creator is defeated or appeased. A military-sponsored task force named Trinary is formed to disperse these anomalies. The team initially consists of Miyabi Koigasaki, Gabriela Lotaryńska, and Ayami Kunimasa. Later, Tsubame Ouse and Kagura Uzuki join the team, fighting in a plane of existence on the other side of the screen.
