In 2065, Earth is overrun by Phantoms, alien creatures whose touch is lethal. Humanity survives in cities protected by force-field barriers. Dr. Aki Ross, a brilliant scientist, seeks a permanent solution to the invasion alongside her mentor, Dr. Sid, and the military squad "Deep Eyes," led by her old friend Grey Edwards. Their research suggests a spiritual, Gaia energy could eradicate the Phantoms. However, Aki is also infected by alien particles, adding a personal urgency to her quest to save the planet and herself.
