Adventuring knight Laios Touden and his party delve into a subterranean maze, a cursed buried kingdom, in search of treasure. During one expedition, a powerful Flame Dragon attacks them, devouring Laios's sister, Falin, and leaving the party penniless and without provisions. With Falin facing digestion within a month, Laios resolves to rescue her. However, with no money for supplies, he proposes an unconventional solution: eating the monsters they encounter. Joined by elven mage Marcille Donato and halfling locksmith Chilchuck Tims, Laios begins a quest to traverse the dungeon, cooking and consuming its inhabitants along the way.
