Amatsuyu "Jouro" Kisaragi, a seemingly average second-year high school student, finds himself in an unexpected predicament when two popular girls, the student council president Sakura "Cosmos" Akino and his childhood friend Aoi "Himawari" Hinata, ask him out on separate dates. Jouro, expecting confessions of love, is instead asked for advice on how to win the heart of his best friend, Taiyou "Sun-chan" Ooga. Unbeknownst to his friends, Jouro's friendly facade hides a calculating personality. He plans to help the girls pursue Sun-chan, hoping to claim the rejected one for himself. However, his schemes are observed by Sumireko "Pansy" Sanshokuin, a gloomy girl with glasses and braids, who seems to be the only one who genuinely likes him.
