Yukino Miyazawa is the quintessential perfect high school student: intelligent, athletic, beautiful, and modest. However, this persona is a carefully constructed facade, as her true nature is vain and driven by a desire for praise. Her carefully maintained image is challenged by Souichiro Arima, a new student who surpasses her in academics and popularity, and whose exemplary nature appears genuine. When Arima accidentally discovers Yukino's true, uninhibited self, he uses this knowledge to involve her in student council duties. This unexpected turn of events forces them to spend time together, leading Yukino to realize that Arima also harbors hidden aspects beneath his perfect exterior.
