Azumanga Daioh follows the daily high school lives of an eccentric group of girls and their equally unusual teachers. The main cast includes Chiyo Mihama, a 10-year-old child prodigy who skipped several grades; Ayumu Kasuga, nicknamed "Osaka," a transfer student often lost in thought; Sakaki, a tall and quiet girl with a hidden love for cats, despite often being bitten by them; Tomo Takino, an energetic and mischievous student; Koyomi Mizuhara, Tomo's short-tempered best friend; and Kagura, a competitive athlete. Their homeroom teacher, Yukari Tanizaki, is known for her wild behavior, often clashing with the more composed gym teacher, Minamo Kurosawa. Together, they navigate the ups and downs of high school life.
