Shizuku Tsukishima is a 14-year-old schoolgirl who loves reading. She notices that the same name, Seiji Amasawa, appears on the checkout cards of many library books she reads. One day, she follows a mysterious cat she sees on a train, which leads her to an antique shop. There, she encounters Seiji, the boy from the library cards, and a cat statuette named "The Baron." While Seiji has a clear dream for his future, Shizuku is uncertain about her own talents and goals, but her encounters begin to inspire her.
