Homunculus

Описание

Susumu Nakoshi, a 34-year-old man, lives out of his car, dressed impeccably despite his circumstances, navigating between a park frequented by the homeless and a luxurious hotel. One day, a 22-year-old medical student named Manabu Ito approaches him, offering 700,000 yen to participate in an experiment involving trepanation—drilling a hole in the skull. Nakoshi initially refuses, but after his car is towed, he agrees to the procedure. Ito claims trepanation can unlock a person's sixth sense. While the experiment initially appears to have no effect, Nakoshi soon discovers that his vision has been altered, allowing him to perceive the "homunculus" within every human.
