Requiem from the Darkness

Описание

Set in the Bakumatsu era, during the end of the Edo period, the Tokugawa government's foundations begin to waver. Yamaoka Momosuke, an aspiring writer, is tired of composing riddles for children and instead plans to compile spooky stories into an anthology called Hyakumonogatari, or "One Hundred Tales." While traveling Edo-period Japan and researching old myths and legends for his book, he encounters a mysterious trio known as the Ongyou. This group consists of Mataichi the Trickster, Ogin the Puppeteer, and Nagamimi the Bird Caller. They are detectives who investigate paranormal incidents and legends to uncover the truth and bring wrongdoers to justice. Momosuke finds himself increasingly involved with their activities, witnessing events he perhaps shouldn't.
