Kurokan follows Kuroki Ryuji, a baseball team manager known as Kurokan, and his unconventional coaching methods. At Kirino High, the baseball team faces pressure to reach Koshien Stadium, especially with the 100th anniversary approaching. Kurokan's unique training and player positioning decisions cause confusion within the team and draw criticism from the Kirino High Baseball Team Support Association and Alumni Club, who prefer coach Morioka's more traditional approach. Despite these obstacles, Kurokan uses his strategies to motivate his team towards a championship.
