GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka

Synopsis

Eikichi Onizuka is a 22-year-old ex-biker and former gang leader. He is crude and foul-mouthed, has a hair-trigger temper, and his school grades were poor. He is also still a virgin. He has nonetheless set himself one goal: to become the greatest teacher in the world, an ambition at least partly driven by his interest in high school girls. After gaining some experience as an intern teacher, he lands a job at a prestigious private school. There he is handed Class 3-4, a notorious problem class that has already driven several teachers to quit. Its students include bullies, blackmailers and schemers, some of them among the brightest in Japan, who prefer calculated tactics to plain rowdiness. Onizuka has no regard for teaching manuals or legal boundaries, and he relies on the brash, unorthodox methods of his delinquent youth to deal with them.
