In a world where magic and science coexist, Rayotte Steinberg is a "tactical sorcerist" who battles monsters. These creatures were once humans who transformed after overusing forbidden magic. Rayotte wears a "mold"—a straight jacket—to maintain his humanity, and wields a magical "staff" capable of immense destruction. He faces a constant dilemma: use magic and risk becoming a monster himself, or refrain and face certain death. His battles are fraught with peril as he confronts the consequences of his past actions.
