Shizuka, a policewoman skilled with a revolver, returns to Japan after an internship in the United States. She is subsequently banned from the police force and transferred to the "Office of Safety," also referred to as the "Security Annex Office." There, she is partnered with a gruff, sexist, corrupt, and perverse colleague named Iba. While conducting a seemingly trivial investigation, Shizuka witnesses a horrific murder, prompting her to take the lead in uncovering the truth.
