Jiro frequently observes a girl with long curly hair, Kotori, from across a café, and she has also noticed him. Kotori decides to cut her hair very short, which initially makes her unrecognizable to Jiro. By the time Jiro recognizes her again, he is with someone else. The story explores the possibility of Jiro and Kotori reconnecting.
