In the early 20th century, Italian scholar Fosco Maraini moved to Japan with his family, establishing a peaceful life among their Japanese neighbors. However, the shifting political landscape between Japan and Italy led to their sudden classification as 'enemy aliens.' Arrested and confined to a concentration camp, the family found themselves fighting against their fate amidst the global upheaval of the era. This manga tells the story of a real family's struggle during this tumultuous period.
