Battle Royale

Trama

In a dystopian future, the Japanese government institutes "The Program" to curb juvenile delinquency. Each year, a randomly selected junior high school class is abducted and taken to a deserted island. There, the 42 students are outfitted with explosive metal collars and forced to participate in a deadly game: they must kill each other until only one survivor remains. If more than one student is alive after three days, or if no one dies within a 24-hour period, all collars will detonate. With minimal supplies and a random weapon, former friends are pitted against each other in a brutal fight for survival, where alliances are fragile and betrayal is common.
