In a modern 21st-century Earth known as Cultivation Civilization, cultivators practice in secret, yet their world is intertwined with mundane society. While Qi Condensation, Foundation Establishment, and Core Formation are achievable, higher realms like Nascent Soul are considered legends. Beneath the surface of apparent peace, a conflict brews between humans, cultivators, and demons. However, humanity's rapid industrialization is causing qi, and thus cultivation, to decline. Xu Yangyi, the protagonist, seeks to reach the apex of cultivation, armed with esoteric knowledge and pragmatism, to avenge his parents' deaths.
