The Graffiti is the second installment in the Bungaku Video series, a collaborative project that merges contemporary Japanese literature with animation. This anime short is based on the poem "Rakugaki," written by Makoto Takayanagi in 1999 and later included in the 2001 novel Yumeyume Waseruru Nakare. The narrative begins with the appearance of graffiti at the moment the first sunlight gently stirs a shallow sleep.
