New Doboku

Sinopsis

Yuichi Yokoyama's "New Engineering" is a manga that explores two central themes: fighting and building. The work is divided into two sets of stories. One set, titled "Public Works," depicts the construction of massive structures across a landscape, focusing on the visual spectacle of their creation rather than a conventional plot. The other set, "Combats," presents a series of elegantly choreographed battles. Yokoyama's unique artistic style combines philosophical complexity with striking visual power, aiming to create narratives detached from specific historical epochs and instead exploring alien civilizations with different values and aesthetics.
