Faust (TEZUKA Osamu)

Sinopsis

God challenges the devil Mephistopheles to corrupt the scholar Faust. Feeling unfulfilled by his studies, Faust makes a pact with Mephistopheles, trading his soul for renewed youth and the satisfaction of his desires. Mephistopheles transforms Faust into a young man, and Faust subsequently falls in love with Princess Margarete, an angel previously sent to Earth by God. This manga is a caricature of Goethe's "Faust" and reflects the dreamy animation style of its era.
