Sinopsis

In the small country of Oatland, a young painter named Maurice acquires a gnome, a newly developed creature capable of learning and repeating tasks after a single demonstration. Maurice is impressed by the gnome's abilities and grows fond of it. However, other painters view gnomes as a threat to their livelihoods and advocate for their ban and extermination. Maurice believes in the gnomes' potential for good and strives to protect them, seeking a way for gnomes and painters to coexist peacefully amidst the looming shadow of war.
