Sinopsis

Tatsuya Obayashi adopts a dog from a vacant lot and names him John. Initially, Tatsuya is impatient with John, particularly when playing fetch. Soon after, a new student named Yoshio transfers into Tatsuya's class. Yoshio attempts to befriend Tatsuya but quickly becomes the target of bullying. Through his interactions with John, Tatsuya begins to learn the value of patience and how to support his new classmate.
