Sinopsis

Ashley Sullivan has harbored feelings for Jake Crenshaw, a man eight years her senior, since childhood. She was often referred to as his "shadow," a tomboy who followed him everywhere. On her sixteenth birthday, Ashley attempted to confess her love and prove herself as a woman, but her advances were met with rejection from Jake, despite a passionate kiss that left her feeling branded by him. Nine years later, Jake unexpectedly contacts Ashley, seeking her help and requesting that she live under his roof.
