The imaginary villages of Dongdok and Seodok are divided by wealth, with Dongdok featuring expensive condos and Seodok consisting of cheap housing projects. Both communities are preoccupied with land values, neglecting the education of their children. At Dokil High School, the principal and board director prioritize college enrollment statistics above all else. The arrival of Gaun Cha, a new teacher determined to make a positive impact, disrupts the established order in both villages.
