The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a Second Lease on Life

Synopsis

Rein is an enchanter whose magic strengthens equipment. One day his guild suddenly expels him, on the grounds that all of its gear has already been enhanced enough. Angered by the treatment, he decides to take back the enormous amount of enhancement he had invested in his former guildmates' equipment. When he channels that power into an ordinary copper sword, it becomes a cheat-level weapon with 10,000 enhancement points. With no combat experience of his own but magic that can make anything overpowered, Rein sets out on a carefree new life as an adventurer. The setting is an unusual fantasy world where Uzis, slingshots and even yakuza exist alongside magic, and where heavy reliance on convenient technology weakens people's magical ability.
