Synopsis

Satoru Fujinuma is a 29-year-old manga artist whose career has stalled since his debut, leaving him to make ends meet as a pizza delivery driver. Detached and unsure of himself, he lives with a strange phenomenon he calls "Revival": whenever something bad is about to happen nearby, time rewinds a few minutes and repeats until he removes the cause. He has used it to save many lives but resents it as a burden. When a tragedy leaves him wrongly accused of murdering someone close to him, Revival sends him not minutes but 18 years into the past, to 1988, when he was a fifth grader. There he faces a painful childhood he had pushed out of memory, including the disappearance of Kayo Hinazuki, a solitary and mysterious classmate.
