Avatar: The Last Airbender

Synopsis

Avatar: The Last Airbender is an American animated fantasy action series created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko for Nickelodeon, which aired for three seasons between 2005 and 2008. It takes place in a largely Asian-inspired world divided into four nations: the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation and the Air Nomads. Certain people, called benders, can telekinetically control the element of their nation through gestures drawn from Chinese martial arts. Only the Avatar can master all four elements, keeping the nations in balance and serving as a bridge between humans and the spirit world. The story follows twelve-year-old Aang, the current Avatar and last survivor of the Air Nomads, who travels with his friends Katara and Sokka. Meanwhile, the exiled Fire Nation prince Zuko, accompanied by his uncle Iroh, pursues Aang to regain his lost honor.
