Yuuya Tenjou is a fifteen-year-old who has been cruelly bullied since childhood, mocked for his looks and written off as a loser. His grandfather was the only person who ever stood by him, and after the old man's death Yuuya loses any reason to keep trying. He moves into his late grandfather's house and, during a long absence from school spent recovering from the abuse, starts tidying a room he had never entered, one packed with objects gathered on his grandfather's travels around the world. Among them stands a freestanding door. Behind it lies another world full of magic and monsters, along with a stash of priceless artifacts. Yuuya can pass through the door in both directions and bring back whatever he finds, and the cheat skills he gains there may finally let him change his life on Earth.
