In 1970s Tokyo, evil youkai are attacking the human world. To combat this threat, the "Youkai Patrol" is dispatched from hell. This ragtag group includes Enma, a hotheaded demon prince; Princess Yukiko, a snow woman; Kapaeru, a kappa; and Grandpa Shappo, a talking wizard hat. Their mission is to exterminate the malevolent spirits and maintain order in the human realm, though Enma often struggles to contain his fiery impulses during their interventions.
