In a world where Sensha-do (the art of tank combat) is a traditional martial art for girls, Miho Nishizumi transfers to Oarai Girls' Academy to avoid the sport, having developed an aversion to it after a traumatic event. However, the school's student council revives the Sensha-do program and forces Miho, who comes from a prestigious lineage of tankery practitioners, to join the team due to her experience. She is joined by an eccentric group of new friends, including the driver Mako, gunner Hana, radio operator Saori, and loader Yukari. Together, they must compete in the national Sensha-do championships.
