Iljimae

Trama

Set during the Joseon Dynasty, "Iljimae" follows Yong, a hero who acts as a hooligan by day but transforms into a masked thief at night. He targets corrupt government officials, stealing from the wealthy and powerful to aid the impoverished and unprotected. After each robbery, he leaves behind a painting of a plum tree branch, earning him the moniker Iljimae. His true motivation extends beyond simple theft, as he seeks the owner of a distinct sword he witnessed being used to kill his father as a child.
