ZOO is a collection of short stories by Otsuichi, each exploring different topics, settings, and genres. The narratives delve into various human experiences, such as the contrasting lives of identical twins raised in the same home, one favored and the other neglected. Another story features the last man on Earth constructing a robot to perform his burial as he contemplates his impending death. The collection also includes a tale of a family desperately searching for a blood donor for their father, who is bleeding out after a kitchen knife accident.
