Shinji Ogishima, a character introduced in the original story, embarks on new adventures with his friend, Nobu Setoguchi. Both are involved in the "GT Cars" project, which faces internal disputes and conflicts. To resolve these issues, they engage in high-stakes races, driving Mazda RX-7s along the Shuto Expressway, where they encounter Tatsuya Shima.
