The Monkey King

Sinopsis

Katsuya Terada's manga, titled Saiyukiden Daienoh in Japanese, adapts the 16th-century Chinese fantasy adventure classic, Journey To The West. The story follows the Monkey King, a powerful ape who caused chaos in Ancient China until the Lord Buddha imprisoned him under a mountain. He is granted parole on the condition that he escorts a Buddhist nun through the demon-infested Silk Road. Their impossible quest is to reach India and retrieve a collection of sacred scrolls.
