The Box Man

Sinopsis

Imiri Sakabashira's "The Box Man" presents a surreal world inhabited by zoomorphic creatures and bizarre environments. The narrative follows protagonists on a scooter journey through a landscape that shifts between dense urban settings, abstract rural areas, and hybrid spaces. In this near-wordless psychedelic travelogue, the boundaries between animate and inanimate, real and imagined, blur. The story features unusual characters like a half-man, half-crab creature, a flying frog, and an anthropomorphic, mollusk-like cat that serves as a guide, blending Japanese folklore, pop culture, and surrealism into a cohesive, absurdist tapestry.
