Dr. Taima is a practitioner who uses taimashin, special needles, to exorcise malevolent spirits. Alongside his assistant, Maki Togetsu, he investigates a surge in demonic possessions that transform ordinary people into ravenous monsters. These possessions lead him to Dunwich, Massachusetts, where he encounters Kyogo Ayakashi, another individual skilled in wielding taimashin.
