After a young girl is found dead in Yokohama, her body contorted in fear, three more teenagers are discovered in similar circumstances. Journalist Asakawa investigates the mysterious deaths, learning that all four victims had stayed in a log cabin exactly seven days before their demise. In the cabin, Asakawa finds a videotape containing abstract images and a message: "Those who have viewed these images are fated to die at this exact hour one week from now. If you do not wish to die, you must follow these instructions exactly..." The tape then cuts to static, leaving Asakawa to unravel its terrifying supernatural secret.
