줄거리

Eleanor de Tressail faces a financial crisis after the deaths of her father and grandfather, leaving her with significant inheritance taxes. She is determined to keep the family home, a promise she made to her grandfather, but her stepsister Grania suggests selling it. Their financial trustee, Joss, then proposes marriage to Eleanor. He offers to resolve her financial difficulties in exchange for the de Tressail family title. However, Eleanor struggles with the idea of marrying someone who does not love her, despite her own feelings for him.
