Kuri-chan

Trama

Kuri-chan is a yonkoma manga series created by Susumu Nemoto, which was serialized in the Asahi Shimbun evening edition from October 1, 1951, to March 31, 1965. The main character, Kuri-chan, is a young boy whose design was inspired by Nemoto's eldest son, born in 1948. Although his given name is Ken, he is nicknamed "Kuri-chan" due to his naturally curly ("kuri kuri") hair. The manga is notable for its unique storytelling approach, relying primarily on onomatopoeia and visuals rather than dialogue, classifying it as a pantomime comic.
