Kingou possesses an extraordinary ability to concentrate, yet he applies it to no practical purpose, often skipping school and facing ridicule from his peers. The sole exception is Shima, a kind girl who, despite her efforts, struggles to draw the reclusive Kingou into social interactions. During a class outing that includes Shima and some popular students, it is unexpectedly revealed that Kingou works at a billiards hall. An encounter with a hustler then prompts Kingou to finally utilize his unique talent for concentration.
