On Hozukito, a small island in the Setouchi Gulf, a local legend forbids the practice of football. Two high school students, Saigo and Okubo, decide to challenge this superstition by forming a football club at their school. Their goal is to find nine additional players willing to join the team and play despite the supposed curse.
